Is it me or has the makeup world gone bananas about peaches?!đ
I canât think of anything peaches without humming the 2001 hit song âPeaches & Creamâ by 112. âPeaches and cream, I need it cause you know that I'm a fiendâŠ.â
So, speaking of peaches it seems like a lot of brands have recently jumped on the #TrendyPeachTrain đđ. Honestly, I donât blame them from the looks of it the peach trend might be the next #nakedpalette trend. Remember about 4 or 5 years ago when Urban Decayâs first Naked palette launched. Iâm sure they had no idea it would not only but the biggest eyeshadow palette trends ever, but redefine what neutral palettes have become. You canât buy a neutral eyeshadow palette today without it referencing urban decayâs original naked palette. Whether itâs the color similarity, order arrangement or a ânaked/nude wannabeâ palette name.
Is peach the new naked?! I donât know, maybe so. Ever since Too Faced released their Peach Palette spring of 2016 as a limited-edition item, peachâs been crazy (excuse my french). It was literally the hardest thing to get a hold of, and was sold out everywhere when it launched. As soon as stores like Ulta or Sephora got them in stock it was gone a matter of minutes. It was so frustrating that I gave up after the second time failing to purchase it online. Fast-forwarding to January 2017 the Too Faced Peach palette is readily available to everyone, and is now a permanent item.
Between the Too Faced Faced Peach Palettes sold-out hiatus in 2016 till now, #beautyjunkies like myself have been craving peaches, and other brands took notice. Colourpop and Kylie Cosmetics, came ready to satisfy our needs, with their own release of peachy-inspired products. The super-duper (dupe) brand I ⥠MAKEUP even came out with their own copy-cat peach palette. Too Faced cosmetics till maintains their prominent lead in all-things-peachy. Thatâs because unlike other brands their peach palette contains the sweet scent of candy peaches. A peach scented eyeshadow palette may seem unessential and childish in theory, but in reality (itâs so freakin awesome and) whatâs makes the palette standout. Plus theirs the fact that at the end of the year 2016 they expanded their peach like to lip-gloss, highlighter,s bronzers and blushes. If thatâs not #killingthegame , I donât know what is.
Ok, Thatâs my little ramble on the whole #peachtrend #đpalette craziness. What are your thoughts on the peach trend? Do you want it to be the next #nakedpalette trend? Or would you rather is just đ» ghost emoji and exist stage right? Let me know in the comment, Iâm excited to hear what you think.
till next time â xoxo Kellster
